Polydimethylsiloxane

Polydimethylsiloxane, CAS 63148-62-9, E900, is a raw material used as emollient, lubricant, defoamer in cosmetics, food applications. ISF CHEM supplies it in fluid, Food grades.

Linear siloxane silicone polymer. One of the most widely used silicones in cosmetics; used as an emollient.

Antifoam Agent is an additive that prevents foam formation and removes foam that has formed.

Silicone-based antifoam agents have very high foam-control efficiency. They are particularly preferred in many industries where dense foam forms, especially the textile and water treatment sectors. In silicone antifoam agents, the foam-control effect increases as the silicone concentration used increases.

However, in production processes where surface smoothness is important, such as the paint industry, the use of antifoam agents with a high silicone ratio is not recommended. In such products, silicone antifoam agents at low concentrations, or oil-based or polymer-based antifoam agents, are recommended in terms of both cost and surface smoothness.
