Salt of citric acid and zinc. Used as a zinc supplement.
Zinc citrate is an organic zinc supplement with low gastric stimulation and a high zinc content, which supports the digestion and absorption function of the human body. It has fast and stable absorption performance. It can be used for zinc supplementation in diabetic patients. It is a zinc fortifier with anti-caking properties and is especially suitable for producing flake-type nutritional supplements and powdered mixed foods.
When iron and zinc are both severely deficient, zinc citrate can be used to avoid antagonism with iron's effects. Since it is a chelate, it can improve the clarity of fruit juice drinks and can be consumed with its sour taste, which is why it is commonly used in fruit juice drinks. It can also be widely used in cereals, cereal products and salts.
